- It's Tuesday. I woke up at 445am in order to get S to the airport by 6am. Obviously, I'm sad he's gone. Good news is I'm heading out there in a few days (and I'm taking those few days to catch up on sleep.)
- TWLC4 is not really progressing. The only thing I've managed to really focus on has been water intake. No real weight loss happening.
- I cut my elbow on the garden gate yesterday.
- I'm sending off money for a bachelorette party today. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it'll be great, but I don't like parting with my money. Bye bye $300. And that isn't even including a flight.
- I'm out of shows to watch. Dangit summer!
- We did start watching The Borgias on Showtime this past weekend, and it's pretty good.
- Went to see Star Trek: Into Darkness and Iron Man 3. Star Trek was good, but could have been more and Iron Man was so all over the place it was almost confusing, but it wasn't a bad movie if you just want to be entertained for a few hours.
- The devastation from the tornado that hit Moore, OK just breaks my heart. I lived in Norman for a year when Moore had just recovered from the last major tornado that hit the town. It is just so devastating. Living in tornado alley is scary. We're supposed to have more storms and tornado warnings today.
- S and I only took one picture this entire weekend. Fail.
- My flowers are dying =(
- I finally ordered more Perfect Fit Protein Packets, so I can get my protein fix on the go (read: stir into my coffee and chocolate coconut water so I can tell myself it's good for me).
- I'm really surprised I haven' t been shopping lately. Shockingly there hasn't been anything that really grabbed my attention. Except a killer pair of Just Fab wedges, of couse!

Brain Dump
This is a fun facts/random tidbits/here's what I did this weekend/TWLC4 post all rolled into one, mainly because I'm too scattered to even put together one coherent post, let alone four.

Book Club Friday - Viva Las Vegas
Linking up with Heather and Katie for Book Club Friday.
This week I read Viva Las Vegas by Gemma Halliday.
Synopsis:
The Queen of Hearts: Mary Halligan can't get over her ex-fiance, can't get a date to her sister's wedding, and can't help being faced with happily ever after everyday at the wedding chapel where she works for an Elvis impersonating reverend.
The Full House: Ella Campbell is a former showgirl turned minivan driving mom who can't quite figure out how it happened that she and her perfect husband are sleeping in seperate rooms.
The Ace of Clubs: Kit (just Kit) is a magician's assistant who wishes she could make her attraction for her married boss disappear.
The Straight Flush: David Shepard is a flamboyant showboy with only one thing hotter than his dancing career - his lover's jealous temper.
Four friends. Four different points of view. One story of love, loss and lust in the most decadent place on earth. The only question is, what are the odds of finding true love in the city of sin?
My Thoughts:
I'm a Gemma Halliday fan (author of the High Heels series) and was happy to discover a new book from her, What Happens In Vegas. This group of friends is full of love, loyalty and plenty of drama to go around. I think I identified the most with Mary, who eats her feelings (surprise!), but I found all the characters relatable - from Ella who is having problems with her husband because communication was lacking, to Kit who's lusting after her boss and realizing the mistake she made giving into her feelings, and David, hiding who he truly is from his parents even if it means hurting his partner.
Spoiler alert! My my most favorite part was Mary putting her snooty, interferring mother in her place. I'm looking forward to diving into the next book, Elvis Has Not Left The Building!

Favorite Photo

I don't know if I can pick just one photo, but this one at SF City Hall is definitely one of my favorites and here's why.
A) I think I look good ;-)
B) It was my first trip to SF to visit S after he moved and we had a wonderfully fun weekend exploring.
C) We look cute =D
D) It's my phone wallpaper, therefore must be a favorite.

Ten Things That Make You Really Happy

The prompt for today is Day 14, Tuesday: Ten things that make you really happy.
I tried to mostly thinking of ten nonsuperficial things that make me happy, but let's be honest, in this day and age there's always at least ONE superficial thing that makes a person happy. I'm not even gonna pretend! With that disclaimer, here are ten things that make me really happy.

- S, of course. I would be much happier if we were together though.
- Reunions at the airport with S (alternatively, farewells at the airport make me really sad).
- Girl talk and drinks with my best friends.
- Getting into bed and snuggling under the covers. I love sleeping.
- The fact that, at the end of the day, I really do like my job and my team.
- Spending the holidays with my parents.
- Perfectly sunny days in the high 70's with a light breeze and a clear blue sky.
- Spending the day watching a marathon of one of our favorite shows with pillows, blankets and gummy worms.
- Chocolate :)
- Shopping!
What ten things would you choose?
Painting with a Twist - Dallas Skyline
Last Friday I went to Painting with a Twist again because I really wanted to paint the Dallas skyline. Here's a photo progression of my "masterpiece"!
I think it's pretty cool how it all comes together in the end. I didn't have as much fun since I went by myself, but I'm really pleased with how the painting turned out in the end.
P.S. This is my 1000th post! How crazy is that?! =D
