Camp Gladiator: Round 2

I went back for a second round of punishment tonight. It was actually better this time. I don't know if it was just cooler, more of a breeze, or less running made it easier. It's hard, but I like it. I KNOW I'm getting a great workout.


We had to partner up and I was paired with a girl, who was very nice, but she kept saying stuff like "I can't do this" and "I'm done". I tried to be encouraging and positive, but it was a bit of a downer. It didn't really affect my work out since I didn't need to rely on her for anything, but it was just slightly distracting to my "I CAN do this!" mentality.


We did:


  • Sumo Squats
  • Planks
  • Mountain Climbers
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Lateral Jacks
  • Push Ups
  • Squat Holds
  • Squat Hold and Dumbbell Curls
  • Dumbbell Swings
  • Toe Touches
  • High Knees
  • Burpees
and I'm sure more things I'm forgetting. We had a whole hour to kill! Time actually goes by pretty quickly (except for my partner, apparently) which is great. I really am considering signing up for at least one month. I think it would be a great way to burn at lot of calories, lose some weight, and get into shape probably pretty quickly. I would just add this into my current rotation of treadmill running, Tone It Up videos, Wii Fit and Yoga.


I went home wet (from sweat) and dirty(from the ground) - signs of a good workout, no?
