MAC Makeovers

My super secret awesome surprise for A*D for her birthday present was a makeover at the MAC store at North Park Mall!! She was 100% surprised and loved it (so she said). Conveniently the Coach store is right next to the MAC store, so I took her in there for some browsing, then come 1pm, I whisked her next door for the make-up fun.

I made back to back appointments so we could take turns watching the other and taking pictures. A*D was up first with make-up artist George. My instructions were "She needs more color in her life."

Mascara time, pre falsies.

Whilst the look ended up being pretty neutral and everyday, A*D did end up buying some pretty bright shades to take home, so I was happy =)

My gal was ready to go 10 mins earlier than planned, so while George finished up with A*D, Jaylee started on me. My instructions to her "Fun." I showed her a picture of my shirt I planned to wear to dinner, and these were the colors she came back with!

Eyeshadow looks weird without liner or mascara

She taught me how to perfect my cat eye, and how/where to apply bronzer and blush. I requested a new foundation/powder routine and she set me up with the MAC studio fix two in one foundation and powder, which so far has been great. Just enough coverage to make my skin look pretty smooth and flawless without looking like I have foundation caked on (and also it won't melt off in the Texas sunshine!)

We both elected for the false lashes, and whilst I didn't LOVE them on me, they looked great on A*D =)

Post make over

I definitely think that anytime I have an event or dinner or occasion I'm going to make an appointment and get my make up done here. They did a great job on both of us and the only stipulation is that you spend $50 on product, which lets be real, is not at all hard for me, and nor was it for A*D!

This might be the best brainwave I've ever had!
