Mala Beads

I recently bought some Mala Beads from Tiny Devotions. No, they aren't cheap, but I like the idea of supporting small little companies, and I like their style. I thought about it for a long time before I made the purchase. What did I want the beads to mean to me? When I look at them, what thoughts do they inspire?

I wanted peacefulness, happiness, strength and focus. I chose the Amethyst Om Mala for peace, serenity and spirituality. Plus, I love purple. It is also supposed to aid in feeling focused and less scattered. 

After wearing them sporadically throughout the past week, I'm not sure if it's really bringing me peace and serenity yet, but I definitely am more focused and less scattered which is really good at the current moment! I probably have to concentrate more on the whole inner peace thing to feel more peaceful. Regardless, they're still pretty and I really like them. Good purchase!
