Outfit of the day:
Today was our designated "Shopping For Souvenirs" day, so we headed out after breakfast to a couple stores just along from the hotel. First stop was Target *ahhhh*
Yes, we do have Target in Texas, and they probably don't carry many souvenirs, but S needed to return the printer he bought on Sunday and I always like an excuse to go to Target. This time I bought two pairs of earrings, two pairs of socks, lifesaver candies, some braided elastic headbands (which I love) and face wipes to keep my face clean in the car. iPrepared.
Next, we hit up the t-shirt stores. The first shop we came to was 3 shirts for under $15! I picked out three t-shirts, a pair of earrings, a shot glass and some hair clips. We continued on down the road and came to another store where I bought a bag and some post cards. I completely forgot to send the postcards. Sorry family =(
We decided we were done shopping for now and I suggested we go to the beach again. I'm a beach addict. I wish I could see more of it. We drove out to Long Beach this time, avoiding all highways. It was a pretty short drive, and I honestly think the beach itself was much nicer than Santa Monica, so a win all around.
We parked on the street and walked along to the beach, across the sand to the water and stopped to let the waves wash over our feet.
There was a man in water, just hanging out, no big deal. I noticed that he was slowing making his way toward us. I'm thinking "Why is this guy invading our personal bubble?" I realized he wasn't going to go away, or back in the water and we were probably in his little section of beach or something so we moved a few yards down the beach and he walked back into the water. It was the weirdest thing.
This bird was playing chicken with the water. It would be cute if I didn't detest birds.
I tied my dress up around my legs to avoid getting splashed, but I totally got hit by a rogue wave so that was pointless, lol!
Pretty ocean!
We stopped for ice cream at Ben and Jerry's on the way back, just a little afternoon treat and then went back to the hotel to relax. We spent so much time there because it was so nice! Comfy couch, comfy bed, flat screen TV's, room service, deli and Starbucks in the lobby. What's not to like!?

It was nice to have a relaxing day after the tiring days at the theme parks, and to rest up and get ourselves situated for the drive back home.
