The Secret is Out

I've been keeping a secret from y'all! Perhaps I was just living in denial that it was actually happening, but here's the truth. S got accepted to The University of California - San Francisco medical program, which is awesome! He is transferring from UT Southwestern here in Dallas to start classes this fall.

Aka. Now.

So while he ventures off to California this weekend, I'm left here holding down the fort of our ridiculously expensive townhome until the lease runs out because it would have cost about 6k to break. And, well, no. 

Also, I have a job here, not there. I'm keeping my eyes open just in case an opportunity arises and additionally I'm doing some research into nursing programs out there. No, I didn't completely give that up, I was just trying to mentally get myself to the right place. Now that I'm in that place and believe I can do it, I can be more serious about applying to schools.

I love San Francisco and can't wait to visit. I'm hoping sooner rather than later since, ya know, I'm gonna miss my guy!!
