Dallas Farmers Market

I met my family at the Dallas Farmers Market on Sunday which was great because I was able to pick up some produce there instead of at Target. It wasn't that busy, probably because Saturday is their busy day and not all the booths were open.
Parents checking out the produce. Funny how Mom is in rainboots and a fleece sweater and dad is in shorts and t-shirt.
So fresh and colorful!
Carrats are good for you.
Zuquini too.
This pumpkin was giant and $129. No joke.
Pumpkins galore!
I made a friend. He's ceramic.
Another new friend! Not ceramic.
Kitty was soooo cute. I remember seeing him/her last time we were down here, so she/he must live there! I totally would have take him/her home if I could.
Farmers market haul! I came away with some fresh honey, a pineapple, a mango, avocadoes, broccoli, ball squash, cherry tomatoes and blueberries. Pretty good for about $25.
Giant mango. Giant!
I don't know if the market closes for the winter (they probably do), but I really like shopping there so I'm going to try and make more of an effort to get down there for my produce. It also helps that it supports the local farmers!

Thank you for supporting our local farmers and businesses at the Dallas Farmers Market. The market is open year round on Tue-Sun. Although, many of the local farmers are only there on Thur-Sun. The neighborhood has been working to revitalize the Dallas Farmers Market, as there has been talk from the City about closing it. Please tell your friends how great it is and encourage them to come down and visit the local farmers.
