Long Distance

S left for San Francisco last Saturday and spent two days driving with his dad. All of a sudden, we've been thrown into a long distance relationship. I actually managed to hold it together pretty well and have cried a lot less than I thought I would, knowing me. I definitely miss him just as much as I knew I would, and I can't wait to visit in 21 days. We are totally counting down =)

We're going to go to Alcatraz for sure, visit a couple beaches, be slightly touristy and go to the Hard Rock Cafe since we never made it to the Dallas one. I think it's going to be so much fun being together in a new city. So many places and restaurants to explore. And the weather will be more tolerable! Oregon is only a short drive away. Perhaps one day we can even make it up to Seattle. Even Canada! Ok, I'm getting a little ahead of myself.

We have been making sure to call and FaceTime with our fancy iPhones. How cool is it that you can video chat on a phone! We both downloaded the Skype app, so when we aren't connected to WiFi, we can still video chat (I don't have the iPhone 5 yet). It's cool, because I got a tour of the apartment complex property via Skype (before the apartment personnel accosted S asking why he was filming the property, lol!)

We watched the debate together via FaceTime and plan on watching several of our favorite shows together that way. It's a little weird to be calling to say good morning and it's 4am for him, or I say I have to get to bed and it's 8pm for him. Honestly, it might be a little better if the time zones were switched just because of the way our schedules are. Oh well. You work with what you got!
