Mascarapalooza 2012 - Diorshow

I bought a Diorshow duo with a primer and mascara. I've never used a primer before, so I figured this would kill two birds with one stone.

It came in very nice packaging, all velvety and fancy. 

The white tube is the primer (duh). 

This is the kind of wand I like. I wish the mascara wand was like this. 

Black tube is the mascara. I'll admit, it's pretty. 

I took this picture to demonstrate how clean the brush comes out of the tube. 

Not a fan of this kind of wand, but I do like that there is no excess product on the brush which definitely helped minimize clumping (yay!)

I applied the primer first, as you can see it turns them white! The wand definitely got to all the lashes, which was great. If only the actual mascara had this type of wand. 

This is after several coats of the black mascara. It's ok. I don't love it. I definitely don't love it for $20 for two mini tubes. 

I don't really think it did much, other than blacken what was white from the primer. I will give it props for no clumping and it did an ok job of defining, but I don't think it volumized nor lengthened much. 

The score for this mascara is not great, but that's because there are two things I really didn't like - the fact it didn't lengthen or volumize much at all, and the mascara brush, which is the kind I don't like. If you don't mind those kinds of brushes, don't let me discourage you from trying this mascara. It would be good for a natural, minimal drama look.
