This week I'm reviewing Saturday Night Cleaver by Karen Cantwell.
Synopsis:
Poor Barb. She just can't stay out of trouble, no matter how hard she tries. But this time she has a good reason: family friend Colt Baron has gone missing. When soccer mom, Barbara Marr, and her ex-FBI husband, Howard, begin following clues in a search for hteir treasured pal, they find themsevles crashing a rather racy sort of party - a soiree for swinging couples. Awkward. What they learn there is. . .interesting. But the question is, does the information lead them to Colt? (Amazon)
My thoughts:
This was the perfect light, easy read after the marathon of Game of Thrones. I've read the other three books in the series, so it was nice to pick up a book where I knew all the main characters. It's like meeting up with old friends!
Barbara is a pre-menopausal lady who's married to an older George Clooney look alike, or so she says. Their womanizing private detective friend goes missing, so the pair work together trying to find him and instead stumble onto a whole other crime ridden situation. As I mentioned, it's a quick easy ride, and pretty entertaining. Another thumbs up for Karen Cantwell!

I've never even heard of this author. I'm so excited that I stopped in from the book club linkup because I'm always looking for something new to read. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLike I said, I'm stopping over from the book club linkup and I'd love for you to check out my blog (Little Spindle) as well.
